The African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM) is pleased to announce the ASLM 2026 Biennial Conference, scheduled to take place from 8–11 December 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), South Africa.

Under the theme “Integrated Diagnostics for Health Security: Investing in Sustainable Impact,” ASLM 2026 will bring together policymakers, laboratory and public health professionals, researchers, industry leaders, and development partners to shape the future of diagnostics as a critical pillar of health security in Africa.

The conference will address emerging and persistent health threats by highlighting the role of integrated diagnostic systems, laboratory networks, genomics, antimicrobial resistance surveillance, digital health, and sustainable financing mechanisms. Through plenary sessions, workshops, scientific presentations, and exhibitions, participants will engage in evidence‑based dialogue and knowledge exchange aimed at strengthening resilient, country‑owned diagnostic systems.

ASLM 2026 is expected to attract approximately 1,500 participants from across Africa and globally, making it one of the continent’s largest platforms for diagnostics‑focused collaboration and innovation. Registration, abstract submissions, and exhibition participation will be managed through the official conference website.

Further details regarding registration, abstract submissions, exhibition opportunities, and programme highlights will be announced in the coming months.
