ASLM Invites Expert Abstract Reviewers to Support the ASLM 2026 Scientific Programme

Registration Hero

The African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM) has issued a Call for Expert Abstract Reviewers to support the development of a robust and high‑quality scientific programme for the ASLM 2026 Biennial Conference.

Expert reviewers will play a critical role in assessing submitted abstracts for scientific quality, relevance, and alignment with the conference’s thematic focus on integrated diagnostics for health security. Reviewers will be matched to abstracts aligned with one or more scientific tracks, including antimicrobial resistance, pathogen genomics, digital health and data systems, workforce development, sustainable financing, and climate‑resilient laboratory systems.

Reviewer participation is voluntary and will be conducted through an online abstract management platform. All selected reviewers will undergo a mandatory orientation to ensure consistency, integrity, and adherence to ASLM review guidelines.

Qualified professionals with at least a Master’s degree in laboratory medicine, biomedical sciences, public health, informatics, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Excellent written communication skills in English, French, or Portuguese are required, and prior abstract or manuscript review experience is an added advantage.

In recognition of their contribution, all reviewers will receive an official certificate of appreciation upon completion of the review process.

The Call for Reviewers is now open, with applications accepted through the ASLM 2026 website.
